Eating out need not be expensive in Como since there are many places offering cheap solutions for visitors, workers or shoppers. However these are primarily available at lunchtime only although pizza is always an economical evening option.
For lunch, think about taking advantage of the ‘menu del giorno’ fixed price options directed at office workers primarily but obviously open to all. See our list of those in or near the centre. Additionally there are the many bars or cafes that provide a ‘tavola calda’ for lunch although they may not end up as economical.
Visitors may need to bear in mind that most kitchens remain open only during scheduled lunch hours which normally run from 12,00 to 14.30. Eating out of hours is of course always possible at one of the fast food outlets.
